The mountain-based honeybee breeding project’s first phase was started in late 2019 with a JD2,000 fund. Ms. Amina Nuairat, an experienced beekeeper herself, helped us start the project and train four Jordanian women. The participating women, who supported families, have acquired the necessary breeding skills to generate sustainable income and have sustainably been producing honey. In the project’s second phase, we added seven beehives, bringing the number of hives to 14; the third phase was started in January 2021 with the aim of expanding beehives to 30.
