This craftsmanship still lives to this today and is a source of sustainable income to its trained craftspersons.
Your donations will support a project headed by the experienced Ms. Abeer Al Zou'bi for the preservation and promotion of these arts by using stones and locally sourced natural materials. As project leader, she will oversee the training of three talented women in the Deir Alla area to become expert mosaic-makers, teaching them the skills and techniques needed for creating their own mosaic art. Such acquired skills will allow the trainees to start projects that generate sustainable incomes, as well as passing on their skills to others and multiplying the impact.
